How can the faith community come together to help make Greensboro a better community for everyone?   "We Rise: Meeting God's Call to Transform Communities,” is a national theme of the United Methodist Women and the focus of the Holmes Grove United Methodist Women’s Prayer Program. This event will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 on Zoom for Holmes Grove United Methodist Church. 

Our guest presenter is Ms. Regina Howard-Glaspie, a media consultant and civic organizer.  Ms. Howard-Glaspie has worked in the media industry for over 32 years, and the last fourteen years in North Carolina. Currently, Ms. Howard-Glaspie is the executive

director for City Help of the Triad, and focuses on education, community

engagement, and economic development for families and children in

marginalized communities. Previous positions include regional audience development director for the Triad at Gatehouse Media, LLC, marketing director for the North Carolina Group at BH Media and Landmark Communications.  

Ms. Howard-Glaspie is encouraged that God has used her to be a witness and to spread His word throughout her career and has given her the grace and mercy to serve Him in so many different capacities. She finds Dr. Tony Evans book; God Designs the Detours, fascinating.  She will be the first to admit that her journey has not been easy, and has drawn her closer to who she is supposed to be in her walk with Jesus Christ.
